Creating a template

You need to create catalogue parts you want to define default values? We have a solution for you. Did you know that you can create part templates?

Using a template, certain selected fields can be completed automatically using predefined values. The user simply needs to complete the information.

 

Only a user with an administrator type can create or edit a template.

 

This function is also available in the following options:

Maintenance Options

All of the information may be available in a template.

Example: Customer Management, Supplier Management, etc.

Transaction Screens

Only information from headers will be saved in a template.

 

To create a template

For example, we will create a template from Catalogue Management. The steps described below also apply to the other options described in the introduction.

  1. From Catalogue Management, click New to clear the screen.
  2. Enter values in all fields where a default value must be saved in the template. For example:
    • Status;
    • Item type;
    • Item Management Mode;
    • Unit, Factor and Precision;
    • Cost Management;
    • Etc.
  1. Click in the Template menu at the top of the Catalogue Management screen and select the Create/modify a Template option.
  2. A design screen is displayed. Select Create a new template and enter a template name. Click OK to save the template.

 

Check the Define as the default template for all users option to share this template with all users.

 

 

To use a template

  1. From Catalogue Management, click in the Template menu at the top of the screen.
  2. Select the template to be used from the list of saved templates. When selected, a dot is displayed to the left of the name to inform the user that it is enabled.

 

The template will be selected automatically when the screen is opened again.

 

To display the contents of a template

  1. When you click the Show Template option, information from the template is identified in a different color.
